Nike Poster
Challenge
For this design exercise, I created a pattern and a poster (incorporating the pattern) for a store or brand.
Solution
During the time of this exerciset, the news reported on Lance Armstrong’s use of performance enhancement drugs. I was interested in the idea of heroism, power and strength in the world of sports. I created a pattern in Illustrator using the motifs of a human heart and a fist to symbolize power. I also illustrated influential athletes such as Muhammad Ali, Pele, Mia Hamm, and Billie Jean King. These athletes faced adversity and paved the way for future athletes. I also created a shoebox incorporating the pattern.
