Tech Liminal
Challenge
For this design exercise, I created a new logo for a tech company in California. Tech Liminal holds a wide range of events and meetings. They have flyers and an events calendar, but they wanted to have a unified look. They also wanted a way to organize large amounts of information.
Solution
Tech Liminal sees themselves as a “technology salon.” I used the term salon as a jumping off point for the logo. I wanted the logo to evoke the French salons of the 18th century where many ideas were exchanged in communal gatherings. The calendar and flyers show a grid structure and hierarchy to help viewers understand information.
